Couple thoughts while waiting for new stuff from ANet...
Try going through with different character types. I'm on my fifth, two ascended (warrior and mes didn't work out for me first time through...), and still finding quests that I missed. Barring that, find a piece of map you hadn't cleared and clear it. You can also take your character into the arenas and give PvP a try, that's a whole new challenge unto itself.
Edit Ignore the doomsayers here... they've turned their personal 'issues' into attacks and hateslinging.

You're just not allowing yourself to have fun anymore. Leave the anger behind. Go play.

Sounds like you may be past due for a shower and some sunlight then.
You can have as much fun as you'll allow yourself to have, otherwise you won't.

If you just don't want to play through another character or finish every quest/mission or fill in the map completely or PvP....
Put the game away. Play Dungeon Siege 2 (comes out on the 16th), revisit Diablo 2 (which just patched with a new boss/quest), revisit some of your old favorites.
Then, after a time, come back to the game. This is what a lot of people miss: PUT THE GAME AWAY then you won't be so annoyed by it. It wasn't meant to be played 22 1/2 hours a day for years at a time.

I would recommend switching over to American Servers. There's usually alot more people people playing, which means more chance of going to fissure or UW. But even that gets repetitive if you play too much. Aside from trying PVP, work on your character's build for farming. Building wealth and controlling the GW market is mainly why I still play.

Month or two, it doesn't really matter. Think about it this way:
-Person A buys a DVD for $15. It takes 2 hours to watch it through. Now unless he's a big fan, he's probably not going to watch it again in a few months. Unless the movie was utter crap, he probably isn't unhappy with the purchase.
-Person B buys a game for $50, tops. He plays it for days, weeks, maybe months. Eventually he finishes it, and gets annoyed because there's nothing more the game can offer (before expansions anyway).
Now which person had better entertainment/dollar -ratio?
From this perspective, I haven't yet bought a game that wasn't worth it. GW has definitely been worth it, even if I got my account deleted right now.

With the last character I started, I decided that as soon as I was done with all of the quests/missions in the seared areas around Ascalon, I'd try to walk him as far as I possibly could in the game rather than doing missions to advance across the map.
Did lots of quests along the way for XP and whatnot, just none of the missions. It's been the most fun I've had playing the game yet, without question -- I'll definitely be playing my new characters this way from now on.
Started at Ascalon City, and I hit lvl19 in Riverside on the weekend (so I'm almost done :|). I've just started to go back and do some of the Shiverpeak missions for a change of pace.
It's not like you'll see a whole bunch of stuff you've never seen (although there are quite a few spots you might not otherwise get to), but you might find a slightly different way of accessing it to be refreshing.
Highly recommended!

Then you have the problem other MMORPG's have. Different servers, can't switch your character across, the GW community becomes even more segregated than if Arenanet divided PvP and PvE. On top of that, you can now download the game, grab a mod for it and play it on a private server. (actually come to think of it, I'm surprised stuff like that hasn't shown up).
Unless it just allows you to make maps and stuff, then submit it to Arenanet. The game is balanced out through the playerbase (obviously the devs would have the final say), more terrain, quests and missions get churned through. I don't see how something like that could NOT benifit ArenaNet.

If your bored the responsibility is yours not the game's. If you play through this for the storyline (which receives a near negative score) then when you're done the story is done... that's it. Myself, I'm a collector. I collect dyes (which seems to have put me in a quite wealthy position lately). Others like PvP, others like to gather loads of cash. Some like to explore (which also has limitations, but hard reached limitations). Others simply like UW and FoW. Many (too many) like trading. A lot of people play (at least till ascension and infusion) with different characters to try them out, which can be fun, there's a huge difference in gameplay between ele, monk and necro (my 3 ascended/infused characters). It makes it a semi-new experience.
Find something to do Otherwise, take Aniewiel's advice and put the game away till the free updates come out or till you feel the urge to wander around and kill a few things.
